I love matte lips. I really, really mean it, especially a lip that won't budge with a sip of coffee or even a whole entire cup. That kind of lipstick usually comes with a steep price, and lipstick is one of those things that I just don't want to dump a lot of money into. If it goes on my face, as in anywhere except my eyes, brows, and lips, I'm willing to spend a lot of money. Usually I don't spend as much on lip products because I like to have so many because I like a variety. Most people think that you should be fine with one red lipstick, but my thought process on that is as follows:

"Is it an orange-red, a blue-red, or a pink-red? Actually, does it look slightly purple-ish? Is it a demi-matte? I need a vampy lip, though. But that one doesn't look good when I have a tan..."

You get the point, or at least I hope you do.

So, on my quest for a good matte lip-shade, I came across some YouTube videos all raving about the Milani Amore Mattes. I already used their Moisture Matte lipsticks, and I love how long wearing those are, so surely, surely I love their liquid lipsticks. Of course I did, and for good reason.

If you're like me and have water, coffee, and eat lunch while at work, you really aren't thinking about your lipstick looking good, but I have to worry about looking good with my job (it's the fed, but also customer service oriented). People, unfortunately, don't take you as seriously when you don't have on makeup... if you're a woman. Dammit, vagina (but I love you!).

This stuff actually lasts through my day, and I only need to dip into the product at most TWICE during my first application in the morning. I might touch up around the time I need to leave to come home, if that. It's that dang good!

Milani saw the success of those on all the ladies and gents that love them, and said, "ya know, let's try making a metallic formula." They did it, and while it doesn't last as long as their big sisters, the formula is even more pigmented! The metallics typically require that I reapply right after lunch, but that's no biggie, because the applicator/doe foot is a so perfect that it takes no time!
