I have always wanted to sleep in on the weekends, and I try so hard to do so, but… I just can’t! I get up a little later than I would during the week (I’m an up-at-7:00 AM kind of chick), trying to wake up at 8:00 AM at the earliest. If my body would let me sleep until 11:00 AM, I would!
But instead, I’m up ironing, making tea, reading the news, and on Sundays, going through new sale flyers from the newspapers. I try to remember to eat breakfast, because I have caught myself forgetting to eat at least a little something in the morning over the last month or so. And that’s kind of the point of all of this: the weekend is the time where I can get my life back in order, because my week is all about school and keeping up with assignments. Not to say that I don’t work on assignments over the weekend, but I try to not make that the sole focus of my Saturdays and Sundays. Last weekend, I made a point of trying out a new bar with some friends, I cleaned my apartment because I have not really been here a lot lately, and I did a lot of laundry (laundry is soothing for me).
I know, I know. “You have no idea what it’s like with children.” Well, no, I don’t have children, so I wouldn’t know what it’s like, and quite frankly, I have no interest in knowing right now! I’m just a mid-late twenties American woman trying to find my way in the world.
